You are invited to join us for this informative luncheon discussing Optimization of Existing Building Energy Performance.  Improving the energy performance of existing buildings presents both opportunities and challenges. Energy conservation requires investigation and cost-effective solutions related to the building, equipment, operations, and occupant habits. Some energy improvements require minimal costs and offer rapid returns while other energy saving options are considered investments, which must be financed or secured by guaranteed energy savings. This session discusses common residential and commercial building retrofits, their relative costs, leveraging tax incentives, and optimizing for the shortest return on investment.

We will cover topics such as:

• Retrofit information – both commercial and residential
• Energy audits
• Energy Star changes for 2011
• State energy program funds – new money from the state
• Advances in solar

Our speaker, Dr. Jennifer Languell, founder and President of Trifecta Construction Solutions, is a nationally recognized leader in educating the development and construction industries, as well as homebuyers, about the benefits of green building and sustainable development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, a Master’s in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction.
